About Circle and Square Crop
Circle and Square Crop turns any picture into a circle, a rounded square or a plain square, which is the shape most profile photos, avatars and logos need. Drag the picture to place the face or logo where you want it, use the zoom slider to get closer, and press Create.
PNG and WebP keep the area outside a circle or rounded square transparent. JPG cannot be transparent, so it is filled with the colour you choose. You can save a fixed size such as 512 x 512 px or the largest square the crop allows. Everything is done in your browser, so the picture is not uploaded.

How do I crop an image into a circle?
Choose your picture, keep the Circle shape, drag the picture until the part you want is inside the circle, adjust the zoom and press Create. Save as PNG or WebP to keep the corners transparent.
Will the area outside the circle be transparent?
Yes for PNG and WebP. JPG cannot store transparency, so for JPG the outside is filled with the background colour you pick.
How do I crop a picture to a square?
Choose the Square shape. The crop is always a square, and you can drag and zoom to decide which part of the picture is kept.
What size will the result be?
You can pick 256, 512, 1024 or 2048 pixels, or the largest square the crop allows. If you pick a size bigger than the cropped area, the picture is enlarged and may look soft, and the tool tells you.
Is my image uploaded?
No. The picture is processed in your browser on your own device and is not sent to our servers.
Is there a watermark?
As a guest or on the free plan, downloads include a small Toolysite.com notice at the bottom of the picture. Paid plans download without it.
Is my data safe?
Yes. This tool runs in your browser, so what you type or open stays on your device and is not uploaded to Toolysite.
What is the file size limit?
This tool runs in your browser and accepts files up to 50 MB each. Server-processed tools allow free users 40 MB per file and 5 jobs/day; Premium allows larger files.
Is anything saved?
