About Social Media Image Resizer
Social Media Image Resizer turns one picture into the size a platform expects. Pick a preset such as an Instagram post, a YouTube thumbnail, a LinkedIn banner or a WhatsApp status, or type your own width and height, and the tool produces a file with exactly those pixel dimensions.
Choose "Crop to fill" to cover the whole frame and trim the edges, with sliders to move the crop, or "Fit with background" to keep the whole picture and add colour bars. The picture is never stretched. The sizes are common recommendations, and platforms change them from time to time, so check the platform if an exact size is required. Everything is done in your browser, so the picture is not uploaded.

Help & FAQ
What size should I use for an Instagram post or story?
The presets use common recommended sizes: 1080 x 1080 px for a square post, 1080 x 1350 px for a 4:5 portrait post and 1080 x 1920 px for stories and reels. Platforms can change their guidance, so check the current rules if an exact size matters.
What is the difference between Crop to fill and Fit with background?
Crop to fill covers the whole frame and trims whatever does not fit, and you can move the crop with the sliders. Fit with background keeps the whole picture and fills the empty space with the colour you choose.
Will my picture be stretched?
No. The picture keeps its proportions in both modes.
Why does my picture look soft after resizing?
If the original is smaller than the target size, it has to be enlarged and cannot gain detail. Start from the largest original you have. The tool shows a note when it enlarges a picture.
Should I save as JPG, PNG or WebP?
JPG or WebP give smaller files for photos. PNG is lossless and better for graphics, logos and text, but the file is larger.
Is my image uploaded?
No. The picture is processed in your browser on your own device and is not sent to our servers.
Is there a watermark?
As a guest or on the free plan, downloads include a small Toolysite.com notice at the bottom of the picture. Paid plans download without it.
Is my data safe?
Yes. This tool runs in your browser, so what you type or open stays on your device and is not uploaded to Toolysite.
What is the file size limit?
This tool runs in your browser and accepts files up to 50 MB each. Server-processed tools allow free users 40 MB per file and 5 jobs/day; Premium allows larger files.
Is anything saved?
Nothing you enter is saved on our servers. Only preferences such as favourites and recently used tools are kept in your browser.
