About UAE VAT Calculator (5%)
The UAE VAT Calculator adds the 5% standard rate to a price or takes it out of a VAT-inclusive price. Enter the amount, choose add or remove, and see the price before VAT, the VAT and the price with VAT in AED.
You can also choose 0% for zero-rated supplies. Amounts are rounded to the nearest fils, as the Federal Tax Authority requires on a tax invoice. The tool also reminds you of the registration threshold and of when a simplified tax invoice is allowed. Everything is calculated in your browser.

Help & FAQ
How do I calculate 5% VAT in the UAE?
Add VAT by multiplying the price by 1.05. To take VAT out of a price that already includes it, divide by 1.05. For 1,050 dirhams that gives 1,000 plus 50 dirhams of VAT.
When do I need to register for VAT?
Registration is mandatory when taxable supplies and imports go above 375,000 dirhams over the previous 12 months or are expected to in the next 30 days. Check the FTA for the current rules.
What must a UAE tax invoice show?
See the Invoice Requirements by Country tool for the list from the FTA guide, including the TRN, the date, a sequential number and the VAT in dirhams.
Is my data safe?
